Two former Canadian national team program players - FC London's Jade Kovacevic and Oakville Blue Devils' Stephen Ademolu - scored crucial extra time goals that could earn their clubs gold.

A former Canada women's program player, the defending League1 Ontario Golden Boot winner and the current league top-scorer, Jade Kovacevic couldn't be stopped by Vaughan Azzurri's defence in Matchweek 21. In extra time during a precariously balanced 1-1 draw with their closest rivals, Kovacevic picked up the ball at half and made a brilliant solo effort to score the last-gasp winner. The goal has shot defending League1 Ontario champions FC London into first place in the women's division with only three matches left to play.

On the men's side, former Canada men's national team player Stephen Ademolu subbed in for the second half for Oakville Blue Devils in their difficult away fixture against a young and talented Toronto FC III side. Despite the Junior Reds holding momentum in a 2-1 half-time score, Ademolu's experience and guile led to the striker finding a second goal for Oakville and forcing the equalizer in an extra-time own goal. Oakville now holds a commanding six point lead in the men's west division with only three matches remaining.
