Nor'West Optimist Soccer Club led the charge in interest to host a FIFA 11+ Workshop at the BMO Centre in London and worked with Elgin Middlesex Soccer Association to broaden the invite to all Clubs across the District.

With just under 50 coaches attending and representing 20 different clubs the players of Nor’West Optimists were excellent participants in the demonstration of the FIFA 11+ techniques.

Co-facilitated by project leader Rhona McGlasson and coordinator Stella Makris 43 players got involved.

The three teams involved in the demonstrations are part of a winter indoor program focused purely on technical development and no indoor league play.

The FIFA 11+ plays an intrinsic part of that program. The event was well received by attendees with one observing that this was an extension of "a player centered approach to the game we love."

Special thanks is extended to Jenn Jaquith, Nor’West Soccer Administrator for coordinating the event and getting three teams (NW Rebels U-15 Boys, NW Lightning U-15 Girls, NW Lightning U-13 Girls) to demonstrate and to the three teams a big thanks too.
