The month of July sees the Pan Am Games arrive in Toronto and just as excitingly the Para Pan Am Games (August 8-15) will see blind and para soccer competitions with some of the worlds best players.

Off the back of the recent World Championships in England, Drew Ferguson's young team will be keen to fight for a place at Rio 2016.

If you want to see some action at the grassroots level then you need look no further than the communities of Fergus and Pickering.

Both Clubs will be running Festivals this month.

Fergus-Elora District Soccer host their 3rd Annual Special Needs Festival on July 11th at the Victoria Fields in Fergus. Entry is free and an excellent chance to see around 100 special needs athletes competing.

On July 25th the All Abilities program at Pickering SC will host their second festival with participants split into two age groups. Details of both events can be found by clicking the links. There are still spaces for any interested teams to enter the Pickering event.
