About Ontario Soccer's Provincial Xcel Program

The Provincial Xcel Program is a key outcome of the Talented Player Pathway and Long-Term Player Development, providing players a bridge to high-performance organizations in Ontario and Canada at the collegiate, national and even professional levels.

The 2024 Provincial Xcel Program began in March with the Provincial Screening Competition, an annual Provincial Xcel Talent Identification event for male and female players who are eligible for the U14, U15, U16 and U17 Provincial Xcel Teams. Last month, the U16 Provincial Xcel Teams kicked off the annual showcase with a mini-series against TFC Academy and Canada Soccer’s National Development Centre.

The U14 Provincial Teams - in the entry-phase to the Provincial Xcel program - will also play over the long weekend in an all-star series with Ontario's top young talent.
