Canada Soccer’s IDEA Day is a one-day virtual conference dedicated to bringing together Club leaders passionate about creating an inclusive soccer environment that recognizes and values diversity. The event will feature guest speakers: Farkhunda Muhtaj, Director of Culture and Conscience at Respect Group, and Kurt Weaver, Chief Operating Officer at You Can Play.

The main objective of IDEA Day is to amplify the great work being done in communities across our country to serve as a catalyst for change, inspiring participants to create more inclusive, diverse, equitable and accessible spaces. The event will highlight best practices and success stories from soccer organizations in Canada that have made substantial progress in promoting IDEA (Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Accessibility), with a particular focus on LGBTQ+ inclusion and welcoming newcomers to Canada.
