The Ontario Games are a program provided by the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Sport. The Ontario Games began in 1970 as a showcase for amateur sport. As the Province’s largest multi-sport event, the Ontario Games provide athletes of the Province with a developmental and competitive opportunity to prepare for national and international competition. The Games also give the public a chance to see some of Ontario’s best amateur athletes compete in the only multi-sport event of this calibre hosted in the Province.
The sport of Futsal will be included in the 2024 Ontario Winter Games having debuted at the Games in 2020. The Final Round of the Under 18 Boys and Girls divisions of the 2024 Ontario Futsal Cup will be played at the Winter Games on February 16-19 at Lakehead University in Thunderbay. Teams that enter the Ontario Futsal Cup in these divisions will play their Preliminary Round at the Pickering Soccer Centre on December 9-10 with five Boys teams and five Girls teams qualifying for the aforementioned Final Round of the Futsal Cup to be held at the Ontario Winter Games. The Qualifying Rounds of the Under 18 divisions will be held in mid December in order to meet the Ontario Winter Games timelines.
The sport of Futsal is a major priority for Ontario Soccer, as identified in its 2022-2026 Strategic Plan, with the overarching aim to grow and develop the sport through programs, services and new initiatives.
The 2024 Ontario Futsal Cup dates and locations for Final Rounds have been finalized for the Under 18 divisions and tentatively set for the other divisions except for the Under 16’s, Men’s and Women’s divisions. They are now posted on the Ontario Soccer website.

The 2024 Ontario Futsal Cup Entry Rules and Entry Form are also now available for all divisions.
The deadline for entering the Under 18 divisions of the Ontario Futsal Cup is November 30, 2023 and the Entry Fee is $520.
The deadline for all other Youth divisions of the Ontario Futsal Cup is December 19, 2023 and the Entry Fee is $520.
The deadline for entering the Men’s and Women’s Ontario Futsal Cup will be announced in the near future.
