Milkup Future Leaders Award - East: Camille Jelinek

Camille has been involved with the East Gwillimbury Soccer Club for over 10 years as a player, match official, coach and staff supervisor.  She has impacted hundreds of players either through her coaching or acting as a game official, left a positive impression with hundreds of families, and always carries herself in a professional manner.

Starting at the age of four in the Club’s micro program, Camille has played every season since. She transitioned into the Development Program in 2015 in the U10 age division, and then graduated into the competitive program in 2017 with the U13 Girls. For the 2022 season, her team competed within the iModel.

Camille is an accomplished soccer leader, as well. From 2017-2019, she worked as a Small-Sided Match Official before trading in her whistle for another kind of whistle - a coaching whistle. Camille joined the coaching program in 2019 as a mentor coach and coaching within the Micro coaching program (U4-U6).

In 2022-2023, after completing her Active Start and FUNdamentals coach courses, and all her required NCCP coaching courses, she became a full-time coach within the Grassroots development program coaching both U8s (2015) and U9s (2014). Camille has coached almost continually for the last 5 seasons (indoor and outdoor) and all different levels of soccer from micro players to youth players, and ranging in ability from beginner to more advanced.

Camille acted as a field supervisor during the 2022 outdoor season, acting as a liaison between the parents and the Club, providing leadership to the coaches under her supervision and ensuring that our programs were operated within the guidelines and up to the standards set forth by the East Gwillimbury Soccer Club.

She is now attending Wilfred Laurier University studying Health Sciences.
