Ontario Match Official, Scott Bowman has officiated on some of the province's biggest stages including League1 Ontario, OPDL and various Ontario Soccer events. With a 20-year background in Officiating, Scott exemplifies a level of professionalism and enthusiasm rarely seen in today’s competitive soccer environment. Scott has officiated Ontario Cup Finals, PDL, League 1 Ontario, OCAA and OUA as part of his development pathway.
In 2019, Scott was the only non-Canada Soccer National or Canada Soccer NextGen referee assigned to officiate CPL matches (of which he did 3) and was invited to participate in the CCAA men’s finals in Durham. Most recently he became a Coach in the Ontario Soccer Match Officials NextGen program – preparing Ontario officials for the top leagues in the Country.
Scott has successfully served as a District Referee Coordinator for Hamilton Soccer, and held the position until the end of the 2019 season. During his tenure he was able to provide guidance in the successful roll-out of the LTOD program. Additional roles include those of CSA Instructor and Provincial Development Officer. Most recently, Scott participated in the panel discussions at the 2020 Ontario Soccer Summit and was able to provide his own unique perspective to the discussion.
