In addition to having over 20 years combined experience as both a Match Official and Instructor, Paula has in recent years added the role of Assignor to her portfolio. Paula spends countless hours ensuring games in her home District, surrounding districts and OASL are covered. It is not an easy task with so many games taking place on the weekends across the province. Her success has been based upon building relationships with Match Officials, Leagues, Clubs and support from Ontario Soccer programming.
A now retired school teacher, Paula is at the front of the line when it comes to volunteering her services when Long Term Officials Development activities are announced. This volunteer activity includes both presentations and initiatives to support her own professional development. Her commitment to supporting Ontario Soccer Programs is a credit to her professionalism and commitment to the soccer community.
In her spare time Paula is secretary for her local match official association and also provides support to the district Match Official development programs. Paula is the ultimate role model for aspiring officials, assignors and administrators and is well deserving of the recognition the “Centre Circle” award offers.
