Norwegian-born Marius Røevde, 47, was a goalkeeper at the highest level in Norway, Scotland and England. He retired from play in 2007 and now holds a UEFA ‘A’ Goalkeeper Pro License.
He is presently the Goalkeeping Coach for Pacific FC in the Canadian Premier League.
Presently, five current Canadian Premier League goalkeepers have had Marius as their coach as Academy players. As well, four in USL and four MLS have had him as a coach.
He has served as the deputy Technical Director for Trinidad & Tobago FF and Director of Goalkeepers Men and Women’s program. He spent eight years as head goalkeeper coach in MLS for Vancouver Whitecaps FC and Minnesota United FC.
During that time, his goalkeepers held the record for most clean sheets and minutes without conceding goals. David Ousted made MLS Allstar team two years in a row as the first foreign Goalkeeper to ever achieve that.
