Nancy Spotton challenged the delegates with her keynote speech and the Keeping Girls in Sport Panel dug into an important conversation as the weekend wrapped up

Play. Inspire. Unite.

If Day 2 at Ontario Soccer Summit was all over the place with development opportunities, Day 3 was intensely focused.

And that focus was female.

Nancy Spotton, the CEO of MPWR, led things off with her keynote speech and injected some real life into the crowd when she brought up a surprise guest. Steven Caldwell, the former Toronto FC captain and TSN tv personality joined Spotton on stage to lead delegates on a journey of self-discovery.

Spotton's keynote about teams and leadership, easily the most high energy session of the weekend, dovetailed nicely into Keeping Girls in Sport panel discussion.

Leaders from all different realms in sport, Amanda Vandervort, Sonia Denoncourt, Allison Sandmeyer-Graves, Eva Havaris and Carmelina Moscato blended a good mix of anecdotal experience and scientific study, as they laid out a roadmap of ideas for Keeping Girls in Sport.

The weekend concluded with remarks from Peter Augruso, Ontario Soccer's President, as he revealed the location of the 2020 Ontario Soccer Summit will be Hamilton, as hosted by the Hamilton and District Soccer Association.

It was also announced that Victor Montagliani, FIFA Vice-President and CONCACAF President, is confirmed as the headline keynote speaker in 2020.
