Ontario Player Development League - Request for Proposals

The RFP will open on March 1, 2019 for clubs and academies.

The Request for Proposal (RFP) process for the Ontario Player Development League (OPDL) will open March 1, 2019. The RFP Document is currently available on the Ontario Soccer website.

The following is important information about the 2019 process:

All information and documentation shall be submitted online. This includes the initial letter of intent and all documentation to follow. Interested organizations (Clubs) are required to provide a “Letter of Good Standing” from their District Association when submitting their Letter of Intent. This requirement is not applicable to Ontario Recognized Academies (ORA).

Application timelines are described below:

  • February 25 to March 8 – Letters of Intent submitted to Ontario Soccer via this portal.
  • March 11 to March 29  – Submission of Governance and Administration & Financial information (Stage I)
  • April 1 to April 30 – Review of Stage I
  • May 6 to June 7 – Submission of Technical and Infrastructure information (Stage II)
  • June 10 to July 31 – Review of Stage II

Timelines of submission shall be followed by all applicants. Any organization failing to submit information by established deadlines will not be invited to the next stage.

All applications will be reviewed by the OPDL Assessment and Selection Committee.

The Committee will be comprised of Ontario Soccer staff and independent members and will be chaired by an independent Committee member. All application material submitted by applicants is kept confidential and Committee members are required to sign non-disclosure agreements.
