Spots still available for 2018 Technical Director Diploma and Goalkeeping Diploma

The Technical Director course focuses on necessary tools required to meet the demands of the position while the Goalkeeping Diploma focuses on the development of the keeper

Ontario Soccer is pleased to announce the date and location for two upcoming coaching courses. 

Please see below for course details and registration information.

Technical Director Diploma

Ontario Soccer is currently accepting registration for the Technical Director Diploma course, set to take place on:

  • November 19, 20, 21, 22, 23 (5 days)

This course will be held in Woodbridge, Ontario, at the Ontario Soccer Centre. Upon applying, coaches will be provided with further details regarding location, times, etc.

The course focuses on defining the Technical Director’s role and providing them with the necessary tools required to meet the demands of the position. The course addresses topics such as Player Development through the Talented Pathway, Management and Leadership styles, Mentorship and more.

The requirements for coaches to apply to the Soccer Fitness Diploma course are that they must provide proof of: B License Part 1 certification AND Make Ethical Decisions, Respect in Sport, and Making Head Way in Soccer.

Applications can be submitted via Coach Centre. Once a coach's application has been approved, they will be granted access to register for this course.

Goalkeeping Diploma

Ontario Soccer is currently accepting registration for the Goalkeeping Diploma course, set to take place on:

  • December 11, 12 (2 days)

This course will be held in Woodbridge, Ontario, at the Ontario Soccer Centre. Upon applying, coaches will be provided with further details regarding location, times, etc.

The course focuses on the principles of goalkeeper development, goalkeeping psychology, energy systems - fitness, agility and nutrition, and attributes of a good goalkeeper coach

The requirements for coaches to apply to the Soccer Fitness Diploma course are that they must provide proof of: completion of the Soccer for Life course OR former/active Canadian professional player (written verification from the Provincial Technical Director required) AND Make Ethical Decisions, Respect in Sport, and Making Head Way in Soccer.

Applications can be submitted via Coach Centre. Once a coach's application has been approved, they will be granted access to register for this course.
