This past weekend wrapped up the 2018 season for the Ontario Youth Soccer League (OYSL). 

The final of the U-18 Boys' game on Sunday featured Windsor TFC vs Vaughan FC.  After a hard fought battle, Vaughan SC defeated Windsor TFC 3 - 2 to win the 2018 OYSL season.  

In the U-18 Girls' match,  Brams United defeated Vaughan SC 4-3 (in penalty kicks) to be crowned this season's champions.

These championship matches wrap up the both the 2018 season and the OYSL. The league comes to a close after 25 years of servicing the clubs of Ontario Soccer.  

The OYSL was honoured earlier this year at the Centre Circle Awards.

The league, which was established in 1993 and run by a volunteer Board of Directors was given the President's Award - a distinction reserved for those who have been a tremendous contributor to Ontario Soccer. 

"The league is very honoured to be recognized by Ontario Soccer and on behalf of the executives, we are humbled to receive this prestigious award and all the recognition the league has earned over the last 25 years," said Isabel Martins at the time, President of the OYSL.

Individuals or organizations that are selected for the Presidents Award are a true embodiment of an entity that fully embraces the game of soccer and are ambassadors for the game in this province.   

In its final year of operation, the OYSL has been committed to improving the game of soccer in its communities and its board of committed countless hours to helping athletes fall in love with the game.
