Canada was well-represented at last weekend's Gatorade 5v5 Global Final, held in Barcelona Spain.

The West Ottawa SC 2003 OPDL girls went undefeated in their group stage play before advancing to the semi-finals.

They would win their semi-final match before facing Brazil, who they had defeated in group stage play.

Brazil scored an early goal and then went into a defensive shell, eventually beating the OPDL squad 1-0. West Ottawa SC took home silver at the Gatorade 5v5 Challenge Global Final.

WOSC's Keera Melenhorst was named tournament MVP.

Canada's representative on the boys side was North Toronto SC 2003 OPDL Boys.

NTSC finished their group stage tied second with Brazil but was eliminated based on goal difference.

They played really well in the group stage though, defeating Spain and Honduras and tying Nicaragua before losing to Brazil in the last match.

Prior to the loss, they were holding first place in the group.
