Ontario Soccer Summit adds a number of special futsal additions to weekend

Futsal is the fastest growing aspect of the game, experience it this weekend at the Ontario Soccer Summit 2018

Play. Inspire. Unite.

The Ontario Soccer Summit 2018, presented by Respect in Sport, will take place this weekend, March 2-4, 2018, at Seneca College - Newnham Campus.

Along with a wide variety of keynote and sessions speakers, the Ontario Soccer Summit will play host to a big dose of futsal into the mix. Ontario Soccer is committed to the development of one of the fastest growing aspects of the game and in order to achieve that two essential developmental speakers and a live futsal event will take place within the weekend's stacked schedule.

Happening simultaneously to the Ontario Soccer Summit on Sunday, March 4 will be the U-16 Boys Ontario Futsal Cup final at 3 p.m. in the Gymnasium at Seneca College - Newnham Campus.

Also on Sunday, March 4, Futsal Club Toronto's President Roy Blanche will kick off the first of two futsal sessions with Grassroots Coach Education at 1:00 p.m. This session will focus on futsal fundamentals, an introduction of the Hoops, Spikes & Goals program and the FIFA Laws of the game.

Following Blanche's session and lunch, Futsal Club Toronto Head Coach Paco Araujo will lead the second futsal based session with Advanced Coach Education at 2:00 p.m. Araujo is a former professional futsal player who has played for a variety of top futsal clubs, as well as has amassed an impressive and decorated coaching career.
