Dignitaries on hand as a new look for Ontario Soccer Centre revealed

The Ontario Soccer Centre celebrated its 20th anniversary over the weekend as dignitaries from Ontario Soccer and the City of Vaughan were on hand to help unveil a new brand for the centre.

A strong, red palette now connects the Ontario Soccer Centre mark with the recognizable colour of its parent brand, Ontario Soccer.

The two rings of the Ontario Soccer Centre mark draw a parallel to the scallops found in the Ontario Soccer mark, a duality which also represents both the indoor and outdoor offering of the facility.

The word mark focuses on the recognizable name by which the facility is known for, and firmly establishes the Ontario Soccer Centre as the premier soccer facility in the province.

Maurizio Bevilacqua, City of Vaughan Mayor, was also on hand to help with the celebrations and noted that the Ontario Soccer Centre has provided support to players and their parents, coaches, referees and administrators for the last 20 years. Also stating that the Ontario Soccer Centre serves as an important part of community life in Vaughan.

Mike Giona, General Manager, Ontario Soccer Centre, echoed those sentiments.

“The Ontario Soccer Centre is the hub for competition for those from around the province and it’s a resource for us to engage with the local community,” said Giona. “We’re looking forward to serving Ontario and the City of Vaughan for another 20 years.”
