This week's session focuses on ball mastery

Play. Inspire. Unite.

The Player Development department continues to put together a practice for coaches to use with their players across the province.

Each week will focus on one of the three LTPD development stages at the Grassroots level, which includes Active Start, FUNdamentals, and Learn to Train.

In this week's session, the Player Development department has focused on the Active Start level.

Players are headed to the farm to enact a chicken-themed session. In the Physical Literacy component, players will have to avoid the wily weasels while trying different movements.

From here, they will have to beat the farmers in 1v1's to get to earn their freedom. In the activity, players will then be asked to shoot the ball at the "funky chicken" to earn dropped "feathers". The session ends with a game of backyard soccer.
