The U-13 Boys Ontario Indoor Cup final featured DeRo United FA Red taking on the Bolton Wanders SC.

Bolton got things going early when Joel Dorvilliers found himself alone in the box in the first minute of play and he made no mistake in giving his team a 1-0 lead.

The teams would trade chances throughout the half but it remained 1-0 until 8 minutes left in the half.

After a set piece pass found the foot of DeRo’s Kundai Mowaka, his shot from distance beat the Bolton keeper to knot the game at 1-1.

The half would finish with the two teams tied.

When the second half began, it was all DeRo as they pressed to find the lead.

If it were not for the defensive play of Bolton’s Paolo Vaiano, Bolton would have found themselves trailing as he cleared numerous dangerous chances away to safety.

DeRo’s Mowaka would once again get involved with just eight minutes remaining in the second half as his pass sprung teammate Aimar Carter. Carter was composed in receiving the ball and cooly slotted his shot home to make it 2-1 DeRo.

Akil Thorpe would double the lead moments later for DeRo, as his rocket of a shot found the top corner to make it 3-1 with 6 minutes remaining.

Thorpe sealed it with a minute remaining as he made it 4-1 and DeRo United would capture the U-13 Boys Ontario Indoor Cup championship.
