Take in their event this weekend and earn CPD points

Play. Inspire. Unite.

Ontario Soccer has implemented a Coaching Professional Development Point Program (CPDPP), which will track the continual development of coach education for all of our soccer coaches across the province.

This point system will focus specifically on coaches who currently possess a Provincial B Licence Certification. As a reminder, all B-Licenses prior to January 2012 are invalid unless previously re-certified.

Certification holders must acquire a total of 18 points over the five year duration of the licence in order to obtain recertification.

The upcoming National Soccer Coaching Conference at The University of Toronto offers an opportunity to add to a coach's point total.

The NSCC Conference will be taking place from Friday, January 26 to Sunday, January 28 and will feature a half-day session on the Sunday, with a full day of sessions on the Friday and Saturday.

The CPD Points will be granted as follows:

Day 1 - Friday, January 26 ½ point will be given for each 1 hour attended (maximum 5 points).

Day 2 – Saturday, January 27 ½ point will be given for each 1 hour attended (maximum 4 points).

Day 3 – Sunday, January 28 ½ point will be given for each 1 hour attended (maximum 1.5 points).

Full attendance at all sessions will give the attending coach 10.5 points. Ontario Soccer Staff will be present at the event before and after all sessions. Participants can use as many cards as they require for the weekend’s sessions.

Coaches can download and print cards from the Ontario Soccer website or pick one up from the registration desk or from attending Ontario Soccer Staff.

The card must be completed fully with the coach’s information and session details, stamped before every session and after every session to ensure full attendance.

The card will not be stamped for late arrivals or early exits from sessions.
