As a coach, how organized are you to help support your player's development? Do you take their four corners of development into consideration on each game day?
This new resource, developed by Ontario Soccer, can help coaches organize their game day.
It can help identify who is playing, who is coming in and out of the game and what their objectives are across all four corners.
It's important for players to know if they have met what was asked of them. Those that do have objectives, occasionally only have technical and tactical objectives and the psychological, social / emotional and physical areas of development can be forgotten.
Game days are perfect moments for helping players consider their psychological, social / emotional development.
These targets can be changed each week by referring to the age group priorities on page 3 of our Grassroots Practice plans. Check out this week's Grassroots Practices You Can Use for an example.
