The Ontario Soccer Summit 2018 speakers have all been announced and it's clear that the technical leaders in the province are in for a treat on March 2-4 at Seneca College - Newnham Campus.
In addition to Dr. Stephen Norris, a returning keynote speaker, there are seven presenters that will be of particular interest to Ontario's coaches, technical directors and students of the game.
Sebastian Dremmler (Bayern Munich Youth Teams Operations Manager), Jason deVos (Canada Soccer Director of Development), Dave Nutt (Canada Soccer Manager of Development Operations), Mark O’Sullivan (a leading player development educator), Reed Maltbie (Youth Coaching Expert and Chief Content Officer at Changing the Game Project) and Dr. Lawrence Spriet (Professor at University of Guelph, and sports scientist focusing on refueling during and after physical exertion) will all be in attendance for the Ontario Soccer Summit 2018.
“This group of technical speakers, experts all in their own right, offer something for everyone to learn from,” said Gary Miller, Technical Director at Ontario Soccer. “The Ontario Soccer Summit 2018 will be our most comprehensive event to date and we’re thrilled to bring it to our membership.”
As well, just announced last week was the addition of Richard Grootscholten, the Academy Director at Feyenoord Rotterdam, one of the top developing academies in Europe and a Dutch football coach with over 30 years’ experience in youth player development.
“Richard has worked closely with the Dutch FA to create nationwide youth development and management systems and has experience developing athletes all over the world,” said Gary Miller, Ontario Soccer Technical Director. “His expertise and depth of knowledge will bring a fresh look to the focus of the Ontario Soccer Summit.”
Technical presenters are just one area of interest for those attending the Ontario Soccer Summit.
