Two goals in under a minute sent the game to penalties where NTSC won it

Play. Inspire. Unite.

The U-14 Boys OPDL Charity Shield between Oakville SC and North Toronto SC was a great example of organized, athletic end-to-end action.

Oakville got things underway quickly when Mauro Lulli got on the end of a free-kick cross in the 3rd minute and headed it into the back of the net to make it 1-0.

Both teams would trade chances over the first 40 minutes but neither could find a way through heading into the half.

Oakville would double their lead immediately after the restart. Aston Wilson picked off an errant North Toronto pass and laid it off to Kevin Espiro.

Espiro would turn and shoot, catching the keeper off his line to make it 2-0.

Oakville’s Espiro very nearly made it 3-0 but had their goal called back due to offside.

North Toronto would pull one back with 10 minutes to go when Abdul Hamad got in behind the Oakville defence and slotted past the Oakville keeper.

And Kael Dimitrov completed the comeback for North Toronto only one minute later when he found himself all alone on the edge of the box and his blast found the back of the net to knot it at 2-2.

Neither team would find another goal in regular time and the game was sent to penalties.

In penalties, Samim Shouly would be the hero for North Toronto as his lone save would be the difference and North Toronto were crowned U-14 Boys OPDL Charity Shield champions
