Durham Celtic can still reach gold

The 2017 Toyota National Championships Challenge Trophy picture became clearer after the fourth day of competition. FC Winnipeg Lions knocked off Celtix Haut-Richelieu. Durham Celtic sits on the outside looking in but can still qualify for the gold medal game with a win over their opponent Whitehorse Yukon Selects and a Winnipeg loss.

Western Halifax FC won their third straight game and remain the only team unbeaten. With the win, Halifax is guaranteed a medal game and will finish no lower than fourth place. A result against Saskatoon on Sunday will put them in the gold medal final.  A loss to Saskatoon will see them play for bronze.

A pair of other Atlantic teams each picked up their first wins as Fredericton defeated Whitehorse while Holy Cross beat Calgary.
