The quest for gold continued on day four of the 2017 Canada Soccer Toyota National Championships.

In Surrey, BC, hometown favourites Surrey United SC took three points to sit atop the medal round of the Jubilee Trophy. Meanwhile, at the Challenge Trophy, Western Halifax kept their unblemished record alive and secured their place in a medal game on Teck Finals Day. 

In Fredericton, New Brunswick the gold medal match of the Girls' U-17 Cup is set as Quebec and Ontario secured first place in their respective groups. Quebec and Manitoba have secured a gold medal match on the boys' side of the draw while Sunday will see a battle for the third place game as the final Ontario v Nova Scotia group stage match will see the winner into the medal game. 

Alberta and Quebec advanced on both sides of the draw at the U-15 Cup in Calgary, Alberta. Ontario, British Columbia's girls and Manitoba's boys round out the semifinal matchups. 

The 2017 Toyota National Championships Challenge Trophy picture became clearer after the fourth day of competition. FC Winnipeg Lions knocked off Celtix Haut-Richelieu. The win pushed the Lions into first place in Group B and in control of their own destiny.  A win in their last match against Fredericton will have them playing for gold on Monday. 

Durham Celtic sits on the outside looking in but can still qualify for the gold medal game with a win over their opponent Whitehorse Yukon Selects and a Winnipeg loss. 
 
Western Halifax FC won their third straight game and remain the only team unbeaten. With the win, Halifax is guaranteed a medal game and will finish no lower than fourth place. A result against Saskatoon on Sunday will put them in the gold medal final.  A loss to Saskatoon will see them play for bronze.

A pair of other Atlantic teams each picked up their first wins as Fredericton defeated Whitehorse while Holy Cross beat Calgary. 

Surrey United SC defeated Holy Cross SC in the opening match of the medal round of the 2017 Toyota National Championships. The home side have a chance to clinch their third Jubilee Trophy title as early as Sunday when they play against Alberta rivals Edmonton Victoria SC. Assured a medal, Holy Cross will need help from Edmonton to remain in gold medal contention.

Mont-Royal Outremont won their second game in row, handing Halifax Dunbrack their first loss of the tournament. Mont-Royal have a day off before they face Scarborough GS United on Monday where they can lock up fourth place. Halifax will look to bounce back when they play against the Ontario champions on Sunday.

Saskatoon picked up their first win of the tournament over Fredericton in the 7th-9th place group. Fredericton Picaroons Reds play their final match of the week against North Shore GSC Renegades on Sunday.

Day four of Canada Soccer's Toyota National Championships U-17 Cup in Fredericton, New Brunswick, saw the girls' Teck Finals Day Gold Medal Match secured. Quebec's CS Lakeshore will play Ontario's Burlington Bayhawks for the U-17 Cup on Monday after they posted wins over Winnipeg Bonivital and Fredericton DSA, respectively.  Winnipeg and BC's Coquitlam Metro-Ford control their own fate, and will meet in the bronze medal game if they both post wins tomorrow. 

On the boys' side, Winnipeg Bonivital will meet Quebec's CS Mistral in the Teck Finals Day Gold Medal Match after Winnipeg beat St. John's 5:0 today. BC's Coquitlam Metro-Ford secured a berth in the bronze medal match with a 2:0 win over PEI's Winsloe-Charlottetown. They'll meet the winner of tomorrow's match between Ontario's North Mississauga and Halifax City out of Nova Scotia.

Manitoba, Quebec, Alberta and British Columbia have reached the semi-finals on the girls' side of the U-15 Cup in Calgary, Alberta. Inter SC Edmonton will face Surrey United SC while CS Monteuil face Winnipeg FC Northwest.

On the boys' side of the draw Quebec, Alberta, Ontario and Manitoba are through to the semis. CS Longueuil will face London Youth Whitecaps while Calgary Foothills will face Bonivital.
