This week features 1 vs 1 attacking

Play. Inspire. Unite.

The Player Development department continues to put together a practice for coaches to use with their players across the province.

Each week will focus on one of the three LTPD development stages at the Grassroots level, which includes Active Start, FUNdamentals, and Learn to Train.

In this week's session, the Player Development department has focused on the Learn to Train level.

Players work on their physical literacy with decisions making on when to attack fast the the 'escape to victory' game. Then the players have the opportunity to practice this in a 3v3 environment.

After this the number of repetitions is increased in a 1v1 environment to allow players to experience a greater number of learning opportunities and to receive fine technical detail from the coach.

Finally, the players finish with a 6v6 or 7v7 game with all normal rules applied to allow them to apply their skills in a realistic game environment.
