The Women's Team Ontario team has advanced to the semi-finals of the 2017 Canada Games.
Tuesday night, they defeated Saskatchewan 2-0 with Emily Amano, Ottawa South United, scoring Ontario's goal. Saskatchewan suffered an own goal for the other marker.
Ontario will now take on Team Alberta, who got past Manitoba with a 2-0 win in their quarter-final.
Of note, Anna Kowalczyk, Vaughan SC, is tied for the tournament's leading scorer with five goals heading into Ontario's semi-final, which kicks of Wednesday Aug. 2 at 8:30 E.T.
