The U-18 Girls Ontario Cup Final took place Sunday, July 23 at the Ontario Soccer Centre.

The semi-finals took place a day earlier at the Ontario Soccer Centre with Saltfleet Stoney Creek defeating Darlington 7-0 and the Guelph Gryphons downing the Toronto Blizzard 2-0 to advance to the final on Sunday.

Saltfleet opened the scoring in the 20th minute when Kate Dingle was sprung into the corner. Her cross into the box fell to the foot of Lindsay Bosveld who made no mistake in putting her squad up 1-0.

The remainder of the game became a defense battle as the two sides tested each other’s limits but weren’t able to find the back of the net.

One goal would be all they would need and Saltfleet captured the U-18 Girls Ontario Cup with a 1-0 win.
