The busiest Ontario Cup weekend of the year brought some interesting developments

Play. Inspire. Unite.

Gloucester Celtic (pictured here after their 2016 Men's Ontario Cup win) and London Marconi (former champion) have been eliminated from the Men's Ontario Cup, leaving the field wide-open.

The results from the busiest weekend of the 2017 Ontario Cup are in. This past weekend saw 13 divisions take to the field, from U-13 Boys and Girls all the way up to the Senior Open Men.

The always competitive Men’s division is really starting to heat up, with Quarter-Final match-ups now set.

Of the eight teams remaining, five are Provincial level teams from the Ontario Soccer League.

With Gloucester Celtic and London Marconi already eliminated (these teams combined for the past four Ontario Cup Championships), this year’s title is really up for grabs.

The Masters Provincial Championships also kicked off this past weekend on the Men’s O-35 side. Winning teams will move onto the Quarter-Final Round in August.

This coming weekend the U-17 Boys and Girls play in the Tournament Round.
