Canadian internationals are standouts in League1 Ontario Week 8

Canadian internationals once again played a big role in the League1 Ontario results in Week 8.

Two up-and-coming Canada U17 products - Shana Flynn and Samantha Chang - led Unionville Milliken to their sixth win of the season after a 2-0 win over Darby FC. Women's division Unionville are the only remaining undefeated women's team and five points clear at the top of the division!

Canada U20 internationals Jessica Lisi and Lauren Raimondo were on target for Woodbridge Strikers as they toppled West Ottawa with a 3-2 final scoreline.

Canada U20 captain Sarah Stratigakis scored a brace and fellow Canadian U17 international Patricia Koutoulas kept a clean sheet in a remarkable 2-0 win for an under-strength Aurora FC over Toronto Blizzard.

A brace from Ethan Beckford kept him top of the men's goal scoring chart and helped Toronto FC III get a one-sided 7-0 result over Aurora FC.

A hat-trick from former Toronto FC III player Mirza Custovic and a single from prolific scorer Kyle Laborde guided North Toronto to a 4-0 win over Pro Stars and put the Nitros into second position in the east division.

University of Akron's Marcel Zajac and Oakland University's Kadell Thomas scored for Sigma FC to give them a 3-2 win over Masters and keep the Mississauga academy's undefeated record.

A hat-trick from Laura Gosse, a brace from Canadian international Alex Lamontagne and a penalty from former Canada youth player Madeline Iozzi gave Durham an emphatic 6-0 result over Sanjaxx Lions. Click here to read the match report, watch video and find photos.
