Play. Inspire. Unite.

The Oakville Soccer Club (OSC) is entering its second year as a License Holder of OPDL.

Year one provided a great opportunity for all OSC players playing in OPDL to be exposed to high-level coaching and high-level play through games and Provincial Screening.

OSC continues to set very high standards with its grassroots program to ensure players of all levels have an inclusive environment to develop.

Carl Horton, Coach Development and Youth Programs Manager, has been a great addition to OSC staff and offers a wealth of experience that has been helpful in preparing for this season.

The Oakville Soccer Club is in their second year of their current strategic plan which is dedicated to providing a Positive Soccer Experience to all involved with the Club.

How does your organization attract and foster talent?

At the Grassroots level, OSC is committed to following Long Term Player Development standards.

All grassroots players are provided an environment that both nurtures and fosters their individual development and growth within the sport of soccer.

OSC strives to ensure that players learn the sport in an inclusive and comfortable program environment that fuels a passion for soccer while developing skills and player confidence.

OSC ensures that all coaches are age and stage appropriate and offers opportunities for personal coach development.

How does your organization create the best environment to develop players in accordance with OPDL standards?

The Oakville Soccer Club strives to create the best environment for player development by ensuring players receive first class training facilities, national licensed coaches and staff.

OSC believes that Coach education is vitally import to the Club and its players as it allows coaches from within the organization to develop and grow so that they can create a Positive Soccer Experience for all members.

How are players/coaches/administrators/match officials motivated to achieve their best performance?

With a total membership of more than 12,000, the Oakville Soccer Club and their fully committed staff of qualified professionals strive to ensure that OSC continues to be a leader in youth soccer in Ontario.

Programs are designed to provide players with the opportunity to learn and grow at age and stage appropriate rates. As an active member of the community, the Club provides outreach programs recognizing the diversity of our membership and needs of the individual regardless of age, ability and financial situation.

As well as the development of players, OSC is dedicated to the development of both volunteer and staff coaches, match officials and administrators in order to offer all individuals involved with OSC a Positive Soccer Experience while they are a member of the Oakville Soccer Club.
