Team Ontario dominant in Canada Games warm-up series

Girls go undefeated while Boys finish with two wins and a loss in Quebec

Squads will continue to prepare for the 2017 Canada Games with exhibition matches and training camps

The U18 Provincial Men's and Women's squads matched up with their Quebec counterparts over three days and came away with glowing records in what will serve as one of the warm-up series before Canada Games later this year. 

Ontario currently have a pool of 35 players on each side that will continue to be monitored leading up to a mini training camp in July, ahead of the Games'.

On the Women's side, the provincial team went undefeated in their three games with two wins and a tie. 

They opened their play with a 2-2 draw against the Quebec team with Ontario goals coming from Samantha Chang and Emma Davies.

On day 2, they edged Quebec by a score of 2-1 courtesy of goals by Olivia Scott and Aaliyah Scott.  

On the final day, they put the put pedal down and came away with a dominant 6-2 victory. Nicole Kozlova led the way with three goals, and Samantha Chang, Melanie Forbes and Emma Ramsey rounded out the scoring.

The Men opened their series with a convincing 4-2 win. Ontario got goals from Filip Dumbalovski, Daniel Oshana and Monti Mohsen. 

On Day 2, Quebec got the better of the Ontario squad edging them 3-Daniel Oshana had a brace in the losing effort. 

On the final day, Ontario came to life and were leading 5-0 by the half and ended up winning big with an 8-2 final score. 

Ontario spread the goals around with markers coming from: Jon Alec Toromoreno-Duenas (2), Monti Mohsen (2), Kembo Kibato, Justin Yarde, Haider Kadhom, and Ricky Comba.
