If you weren't in attendance, here are a few of the things that went down

Attendees were enjoying themselves on Day 1

The Ontario Soccer Summit 2017 kicked off with a bang on Friday night.

The early part of the day featured Laws of the Game seminar as coaches were brought up to speed on the new FIFA rules coming down for this year as well as a District Administrator workshop.

An Executive Director and General Managers met to discuss the challenges that they all face while several technical sessions took place.

The highlight of the day though was Jason deVos, Director of Development for Canada Soccer, who spoke a number of hard facts about the challenges facing our province and Canada. Coming with a theme of telling uncomfortable truths, the session included a look at the coming plan for development for coaches and players in the year ahead.

His full talk will be available on OntarioSoccer.net on March 13.

The day concluded with a Kick-Off reception hosted by event partners Durham Region Soccer Association where attendees had a chance to network and share their learnings from the day.
