The Ontario Soccer Summit 2017 is just one week away.

The Ontario Soccer Summit 2017 is just one week away.

The Ontario Soccer Summit, which provides personal and professional development opportunities for coaches, match officials, administrators and soccer leaders across Ontario will take over the Oshawa Civic Recreation Complex and Trent University (Durham Campus) from March 3-5.

“The Ontario Soccer Summit is the premier development event for soccer in Ontario,” said Johnny Misley, Executive Director of Ontario Soccer. “In selecting Oshawa and previous hosts, we are strategically highlighting areas around the province, where we can deliver comprehensive educational opportunities to allow our soccer leaders to discover, develop, and excel in the areas of coaching, high-performance, match official development, soccer administration and more.”

The Oshawa Civic Centre boasts and international FIFA size 100 metre x 70 metre artificial turf playing field that can be configured into two or four fields for optimal on-field learning.

Trent University (Durham Campus), which is steps from the Oshawa Civic Centre, will offer an intimate setting, which is ideal for the immersive Ontario Soccer Summit learning experience that delegates enjoyed so greatly in 2016.

With restaurants and hotels nearby, as well as close proximity to the Oshawa Go Station, the Ontario Soccer Summit 2017 looks set to draw in another record crowd.

“We are excited with the 2017 roster of speakers for the Ontario Soccer Summit,” said Gary Miller, Ontario Soccer Technical Director. “Once again the OSA staff has scoured the globe to find the foremost experts in their field and bring them to Ontario and continue the development we are seeing across all levels in Ontario.”

The Ontario Soccer Summit speaker roster is long and filled with a depth of knowledge we have not seen to date. The keynote speakers alone - Jason deVos, Lorraine Lafrenière and Sheldon Kennedy - are worth the price of admission.

In addition, as part of this marquee event, the Ontario Soccer Summit will also play host to the Club Excellence Awards and will feature numerous networking opportunities throughout the weekend.

“The Ontario Soccer Summit is an excellent forum for soccer thought leadership to emerge,“ said Bjorn Osieck, Director of Business Operations. “It will allow us in concert with our co-hosts from the Durham Region Soccer Association to once again create tremendous synergies between our membership and key corporate and sport partners to take soccer in Ontario to the next level.”

Full-weekend and single-day passes are still on sale for the Ontario Soccer Summit and can be purchased here.

There are reduced rates for those booking groups of 5-20 attendees and even greater discounts for those booking 20 or more.

Also, the 2017 event will feature reduced pricing for youth (under 18 years of age) attendees and Female Mentorship Program participants, Learning Facilitators and District Administrators all receive special pricing.
