A pair of Ontario players got the Canadian Men's national team off to a strong start in the opening game of their World Cup qualifying campaign.

Brampton's Cyle Larin led the way with a goal and strong play in the box that drew a penalty for Canada.

Niagara Fall's Russell Teibert stepped up to convert the penalty and helped Canada to a 2-0 win over Dominica.

Canada will play the return leg of the match-up at BMO Field in Toronto on June 16.
