Meet The New OSA Staff

The OSA has made a number of new hires in recent months, adding talented individuals across nearly all departments and skill disciplines. 

These talented professionals are passionate about sport and wanted to make a difference in the game of soccer in this province. These are the new people who have joined the OSA team and what they'll be doing:

Billy Wilson – Regional Manager, Player Development East 

Billy will deliver technical workshops and presentations on modern player development, including club visits and district involvement in the Eastern regions of Ontario. His role includes planning and develop age-specific resources and stage-related player development concepts (U4-U12). And he will perform coach education on player development content, especially for 'Active Start', 'FUNdamentals' and 'Learn To Train'

Paul Burns – Coordinator, Membership Services (Ext. 244)

Paul's role includes supporting the growth of volunteers and club staff through the Club Development program. He has been brought on to help facilitate the creation of and availability of development tools for Districts, volunteers and club staff. And he will coordinate annual workshops for District Administrators and act as support staff for Rule interpretation

Jan Lang – Coordinator, Events (Ext. 230)

Jan provides administrative support for all Provincial Championships and OPDL game day operations, including administration of the discipline program for competitions. He is involved in helping to coordinate special events including the Annual Awards Banquet, AGM Conference, Hall of Fame Banquet and the OSA Soccer Summit. He administers Tournament and Team Travel Programs and works to facilitate cross organizational event planning and assistance.

Dianna Lee – Coordinator, Communications (Ext. 240)

Dianna coordinates the overall look of the website and maintains functionality of the site, including assisting with uploading/posting content and ensuring the stability of the web platform. Additionally, she assists in composing the weekly e-newsletter, oversees e-newsletter software and database management. As well, she designs basic print collateral as well as provides photography/videography and digital editing.

John Vlahos – Coordinator, Match Officials Development (Ext. 234)

Part of John's role is to help develop and issue logistic plans for educational programs, ensuring high quality service standards for participants. As well, he is involved in supporting the planning and implementation of programs, including research, financial analysis and evaluation. He will oversee officiating clinics and courses along with review of applications and assigning of instructors. And he will assist in the development of a structured pathway for Match Officials with documentation, monitoring and reporting protocols.

Yvette Henry – Coordinator, Finance (Ext. 232)

Yvette provides timely recording of all billings to clubs, districts and other "customers" and follows up for collections when necessary. She is responsible for the maintenance of monthly GL working paper analysis schedules and provides ad hoc monthly analyses as required.
