It was a cautious first half in the U-14 Boys Ontario Cup Final as neither Epic Toronto FC or Oakville SC to concede the opening goal.

Michael Washington for Epic FC had the best chance of the early going as he burst past the Oakville defender and slipped a chance in on net. The Oakville keeper, Gerry Kountouris, was there to meet the challenge and keep it locked at 0-0.

The second half would start similarly to the first. Washington danced through a number of Oakville defenders only to find his shot turned away by Kountouris.
Moments later, Epic FC looked have taken the lead but had the goal called back when the linesman indicated offside.

Almost immediately after, Ronaldo Marshall would make it 1-0 for real this time, when he held off his defender and slotted the first goal home for Epic FC.

It looked like Epic FC had clinched the final as the game approached the final whistle.

But following an Oakville corner kick with just seconds remaining in regular time, Oakville's David Grkinic was able to find the equalizer and send the game to penalties.

Both teams were nearly perfect but a small slip by Oakville was the difference as Epic FC prevailed with a 5-3 win on penalties.
