The U-16 Girls Ontario Cup final may have had a sleepy start but it was fast and furious action once the goals started going in.

Julia Garcea opened the scoring when the good work of Melissa Diceman found her in behind her defender. Dicemean selflessly put the ball on the foot of the wide open Garcea and she made no mistake to make it 1-0 for King City.
Kitchener didn't wait long to answer back as an individual effort by Alexander Bruder scored on a fluky goal that was bungled into the net.

King City waited even less time to re-take the lead as Samantha Murphy converted a penalty less than a minute later to make it 2-1.

The frantic pace would return in the second half as Kitchener tied things up with a superb strike. Isabelle Mihail would receive the ball at about 35 yards out and without hesitation looped a ball in on net, catching the keeper off guard and bar downed for the equalizer.

Kitchener's Alexandra Bruder showed a bit of magic about 10 minutes later as she danced past a couple defenders and blasted a hard shot on net that fooled the King City keeper to make it 3-2.

It was Kitchener's first lead of the day and it was all they would need as they closed up shop and held on the rest of the way to capture the U-16 Girls Ontario Cup title.
