The Classics Final, between West Ottawa and London Marconi Azzurri, was a classic case of doing just enough to win.

Sam Sauve got things going early for West Ottawa when she snuck a goal past the London Marconi Azzurri keeper to open the scoring at the 7th minute mark.

London would answer back 20 minutes later when a scramble in the box saw the ball bounce off the woodwork and to the head of Sarah Grady.

The two would be deadlocked for most of the game as they went back and forth with minor chances.

It wasn't until West Ottawa broke down the wing halfway through the second frame that there was a strong chance. Danielle Vella did all the work and was rewarded for her efforts as a tricky shot fooled the London keeper and put West Ottawa ahead 2-1.

Despite having very little of the run of play, London undeterred answered back in the 82nd minute when Sheri Castrilli struck from just outside the 18 fooling the Ottawa keeper to knot it at 2-2.

London would ride that momentum into the penalties and win 4-3, advancing to the Classics Regional Championships
