The U-17 Boys Tier 1 Ontario Cup Final featured several lead changes, a couple highlight reel goals and a wild second half that would see a four goal comeback.

In the 15th minute Oakville's Lorenzo Podda swung one on in off the short corner and after a mad scramble Dusan Kovacevic bounced the ball in off the leg off an Ottawa South United for the first goal of the game.

It was clear it was going to take something special for Ottawa to breakthrough against a very steady Oakville defence.

And in the 33rd minute, Ottawa would deliver. Thomas Juergensen played the ball in from about 30 yards out. Christopher Oatman, with the ball slightly behind him, flicked his back heel up and directed it into the far corner, over the Oakville keeper.

Juergensen would provide some of that magic again just before the half. In a similar distance from his previous free kick, he decided to try his luck on goal this time and the curling shot found the back of the net to make it 2-1 Ottawa.

Oakville would respond with some fancy play of their own after a clever backheel led to an opportunity in the box for Mohammed Ahmad who made no mistake in leveling the score at two.
Only minutes later though it would be disaster for Ottawa as an Oakville shot was misdirected by the United defender into their own net to give Oakville a 3-2 lead.

Oakville would add two more, one from Kovacevic and another Stefano Anastasio, to make it 5-2 and complete a four goal comeback win.
