League1 Ontario Competition Intensifies In Title Race

The League1 Ontario season for both the Men's and the Women's league are winding down, as only a few games remain.  

Women's

The game between North Mississauga Panthers and Vaughan Azzurri ended in deadlock, resulting in Vaughan's second draw game this season. 

ANB Futbol locked in their victory with two goals after a hard-fought battle against Sanjaxx Lions in a 2-1 result. 

Continuing their late season revival, Woodbridge Strikers beat ProStars FC 2-0, their fifth clean sheet in seven matches. This win puts Woodbridge into first place, displacing Durham United. 

Men's

Master's FA Saints gave Durham United a scare as they scored three goals in an 11 minute succession to tie up the game, but ultimately Durham came out victorious with a 4-3 win.

With an important 3-2 win against Vaughan Azzurri, Sigma FC has secured a place in the top four, with a change of finishing third this season. 

Oakville Blue Devils does not disappoint its home crowd, beating ANB Futbol 2-1 in their final home game of the season. This win brings them an inch closer to clinching the title.  

Taking the lead from their female counterparts, Woodbridge Strikers Men's took on Sanjaxx Lions and came out with a 3-0 win, keeping their hopes alive for the League1 Ontario championship.
