League1 Ontario is proud to announce the winners of the 2015 Goalkeepers of the Year awards: Woodbridge Strikers' Matt George, and Durham United F.C.'s Nora Abolins.

George backstopped the Strikers to a second place finish in the men's division, while Abolins was a key figure in Durham United F.C.'s title-winning season in the women's division.

Both George and Abolins were named to both mid- and end-of-season first team all-star lists after earning their respective teams the best defensive records in the men's and women's section.

George only gave up 16 goals in 22 league matches for a 0.72 GAA, while Abolins mere eight goals against in 18 league matches registered a remarkable 0.44 GAA.

Both George and Abolins came to League1 with tremendous pedigree.

George - a former OUA all-star with Laurentian University (2012), previously played professionally between 2012-2014 in Canada, and in Hungary with second division Csakvar F.C.

Abolins finished her NCAA career in 2013 ranked 25th in the nation with a 0.68 GAA. She is also 25th in the NCAA all-time goalkeeping record books after earning 33 shutouts between 2010-2013 for University of Detroit-Mercy and University of Western Kentucky.

Congratulations to Matt George and Nora Abolins, League1 Ontario 2015 Goalkeepers of the Year.
