In the U-14 Boys Ontario Indoor Cup final between the Guelph Royals and AG London, it would be London scoring early and often.

AG London got things going early in the 3rd minute when a long shot tested the Guelph keeper, who wasn’t able to control the rebound and Tomas Ribeiro pounced on the loose ball to make it 1-0 London.

London would add to their lead in the 7th minute after a quick free kick found the foot of Ribeiro who would make no mistake, giving them a 2-0 lead.

Logan Rieck would keep things rolling less than a minute later as he danced his way in from half and secured a third goal for London.

Guelph would finally pull one goal back, when the unselfish play of Gray Yates led to an easy tap in for Devon Corbit.

Corbit would return the favour a minute later when he whipped the ball into the box for Yates, who would get on the end of it and bring his team within one.

Things would continue to go backwards for London when their keeper Eleias Himaras was given a red card and ejected from the game after denying a clear goal scoring opportunity.

With London down a man for five minutes as a result, Guelph would continue to capitalize as Yates would score again to draw his team level 3-3.

Ribeiro would finally settle things for AG London, just minutes into the second half, as he would calmly deposit his third of the day to give London the lead again.

Rieck put the final touches on it for London, when he was sent in alone and made it 5-3.

AG London’s defence would shut things down the rest of the way and were crowned U-14 Boys Ontario Indoor Cup Champions
