The U-18 Girls Ontario Indoor Cup final, between Waterloo United and the Bradford Eagles, was a little slow out of the gate but the intensity would pick up as the game wore on.

With 10 minutes remaining in the first half, Bradford would take advantage of a corner kick opportunity. The ball played into the box found the foot of Alyssa Andrade who patiently slotted her chance past the United keeper to make it 1-0 Bradford.

Waterloo would use their counter attack to good effect, earning a number of chances off turnovers in possession. Bradford’s Natalie Grossi was up to the task in net however, turning away each of Waterloo’s opportunities to preserve their slim lead.

Bradford, the 2015 National Champions, showed why they were so dominant last year as they shut down any and all opportunities the rest of the way, content to hold possession without exposing themselves too any danger.

Bradford were crowned the U-18 Girls Ontario Indoor Cup champions on strength of the lone goal.
