In This Week In League1 Ontario, a 2016 addition to the men's division is profiled and exciting news of another League1 Ontario alumni player signing abroad with a European professional club is revealed.

Highly regarded east-end Toronto academy Toronto Skillz joins the western conference of the League1 Ontario men's division this summer.

The academy has a unique system of player development, strong support within the community, a network of strategic partnerships with professional clubs around the world, and some players already being recognized for their contributions at international and professional levels.

The latest addition to a growing list of League1 Ontario alumni to sign professional contracts, Woodbridge Strikers' Joseph Jackson has agreed to terms with League of Ireland first division club Drogheda United FC.

Jackson was a regular first team player for Strikers in their successful 2015 campaign, which featured an L1 Cup title and a league runners-up finish.
