The Ontario Player Development League kicked off its 2016 season in style over the weekend with games played across the province.

Boys and Girls divisions for U-13, U-14 and U-15 had games in centralized venues in Vaughan and Kingston on May 7 and 8. Four new License Holders got their first taste of OPDL action as Athlete Institute FC, Oakville SC, North Mississauga SC and SC Toronto kicked off their male and female U-13 age group campaigns.

In addition, Toronto FC re-entered the OPDL with male teams in the U-13, U-14 and U-15 age groups.

All the OPDL teams made a splash on social media by sharing photos from before, during and after their games. Check out #OPDLPhotoDay to see what you might have missed.

And for anything else this season, check out TheOPDL.com for all things OPDL.

Also, we encourage you to check out other Ontario leagues who are getting thier seasons underway.
