It was a high-flying weekend as League1 Ontario kicked off the 2016 Women's division, and staged matchweek two in the Men's division, with goals aplenty flying in across the league. 

In This Week in League1 Ontario we take a look back at all the action, and profile Woodbridge GK Sarah Forde - yet another women's player that is going on to the professional ranks in Europe. That makes five League1 women's players to have signed pro contracts in the last few months!

Darby FC, newcomers to League1 women's division this season, held a fantastic home opener, and the 2015 L1 Cup champs North Mississauga to a draw.
