After six matchweeks of play in the men's division, and five in the women's, the League1 Ontario 2016 early season standings are beginning to take shape.

At the top of the men's west division are the only two men's teams with a full pocket of points.

Sigma FC and FC London are neck-in-neck on eighteen points after Sigma beat Oakville with a late winner and FC London left it to the second half to beat Southern Ontario rivals 3-1 at The Cove in matchweek six.

Meanwhile, in the men's east division, Woodbridge Strikers have picked up with a defensive record that has made them perennial title challengers, only dropping points in the derby draw versus Vaughan Azzurri in matchweek four. A tight 1-0 final over a talented North Toronto Nitros this past week kept the Strikers on course.

In the women's division, FC London has stampeded to the top of the standings in their first season with a maximum twelve points from four games - one less played than second and third place Durham United FA and Woodbridge Strikers.

FC London squeaked out a 3-2 win against a determined and well-organized Darby FC in matchweek six, Durham played out a riveting 0-0 draw with Vaughan Azzurri, and Woodbridge did their goal difference a favour with a 5-0 drubbing of Aurora United FC.
