Take In The Robbie's 50th Anniversary Celebrations This Weekend

The opening weekend of the 50th anniversary celebration of The Robbie Tournament is now in the books, as the Robbie Festival wrapped up on Sunday. 

Ontario now turns its focus to this weekend (July 1-3) which features the main Robbie Tournament, one of the largest youth tournaments in the world, and the return of the Robbie Celebrity game. 

The Robbie and Honorary Chair Dwayne DeRosario have announced the return of the Celebrity Game as part of their 50th year celebrations. The game will be played Sunday July 3rd at Birchmount Stadium as part of the tournament finals.

Come early to see the finals of Girls U-15, Boys U-16, Girls U-16 before the Celebrity Game and then stay after for the Girls and Boys U17/18 finals.

DeRosario has already confirmed participation former professional players, Toronto FC players, Robbie Champions and national team players such as Steven Caldwell, Jim Brennan, Paul Stalteri, Adrian Serioux, Theo Zagar as well as Sportsnet soccer personality Brendan Dunlop.

Proceeds from the Celebrity Game, as well as proceeds from the International Tournament, are donated to Cystic Fibrosis Canada. This is a Robbie tradition that they have been doing since 1967 and have raised over $1.7 million.
