The U-21 Men's Ontario Cup Final, presented by Room Roster, was contested by the Vaughan Azzurri and Oakville Soccer Club.

Vaughan defeated the Oakville Blue Devils Elite 3-2 and Oakville downed Scarborough Wexford Hi-Profile 3-2 to advance to the finals.

Oakville was on the front foot for the first 25 minutes creating numerous chances around the Vaughan net. On a number of occasions, Vaughan’s keeper Liam McQueenie found himself one-on-one with an Oakville striker. McQueenie was up to the task though, turning away each of the opportunities to keep it locked at 0-0.

If the first 25 minutes were Oakville’s the next 20 were all Vaughan as the Azzurri saw several good chances in and around the OSC’s net. But much like the early run of play it was Oakville’s keeper, Michael Costanza, who was the difference being alert around the box and making several key stops to preserve the draw heading into the half.

Vaughan carried that momentum into the second half and it would result in the first goal of the game.

When a corner kick was whipped into the box, Liuka Milidragovic left no doubt when he hammered home the half volley, to make it 1-0 Vaughan at the 50th minute.

Ten minutes later, another cornerkick for Vaughan and another goal for Milidragovic would make it 2-0. This time Milidragovic rose to meet the corner heading it off the post, off the goalie and into the back of the net.

That would be all they needed as the Azzurri shut it down the rest of the way to capture the U-21 Men's Ontario Cup championship.

It is the third U-21 Men's Ontario Cup title in a row for the Vaughan Azzurri.
