Erin Mills Dominant In U-15 Boys Tier 1 Ontario Cup Win

The U-15 Boys Tier 1 Ontario Cup featured Erin Mills and Waterloo United facing off for the provincial championship, as well as an Ontario Summer Games Gold Medal.

Both teams fought hard through their group stage of the event, which was held Aug. 11 to Aug. 13, in Mississauga.

The four day tournament is a two group round robin format. The winner from each group moves on to the final.

Erin Mills went undefeated in Group A action with wins over the Vaughan Azzurri, London Youth Whitecaps and Toronto York Jets and only allowing two goals. 

Waterloo United was also undefeated throughout play in Group B, claiming wins over the Thunder Bay Chill, Cumberland United Cobras and East York Rangers. They allowed just a single goal against over those three games. 

Erin Mills would prove to be too strong for United in the final, as they racked five goals and Nikola Curcija would post a shutout. 

Anthony Curic led the way for Erin Mills with a brace. They would also get goals from Jayden Cameron, Giordano Mancini and Daunte Wakles as Erin Mills cruised to a 5-0 win, the Ontario Cup championship and Ontario Summer Games Gold Medal.
